TFD & Separate Opacity

I looked around but found nothing on this. Maybe it's been covered already?
Is there an Octane equivalent to applying TFD's Separate Opacity mapping to channels? Even a simple gradient based on luminance perhaps, for Absorption, Scattering and Emission channels?
The only control I see for opacity is more of a global control using Density and Volume Step Length, which does not allow for lowering or increasing the opacity in specific light or dark areas.
Thanks!

Yes, they're called
Volume Gradients
and they go into the Absorption, Scattering or Emission Ramp channels.
Should note that this is not a 1:1 translation of the TFD curve and you should play with the
Max value
parameter to find a good range for the gradient to affect.
cheers

Thanks for the feedback. That was the first thing I tried actually. I will give it another go. The range might not have been correct for my needs. Thanks.

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but since it is TFD related I hope it's ok,
I am playing with TFD the first time now and wanted to try Octane with it.
I saw the sample files and tried them.
Somehow I can't manage to get Octane render the volumes of the sampe files, in which the TurbulanceFD Container has the Octane Objecjt Tag.
For example "simple ignition.c4d".
Does this file work for everyone else but me?

Do you have newer than XP2.5 and full release?

Well, yes, I possess the most recent version of XP, but what does XP have to do with that?
What I meant was Turbulance FD. And I was writing about "simple ignition.c4d" which is in "v3_sample_scenes\v3_sample_scenes\_TurbulenceFD-scenes".
There's nothing in there XParticles-wise.
The TFD-Plug that I am using on the other hand is the demo version. In console it says: "TurbulenceFD v1.0le Build 1407 64Bit Apr 26 2016"

Sorry. Was a typo by me. I meant that TFD.
So you can't use this feature on demo version of TFD.

Oh wow, that's a bummer!
Thx for letting me know.

All good.
In relation to the original question I managed to get the transparent to opaque result in the Emission ramp. What was tripping me up was the Absorption really needed to be black as to not be an issue, the Scattering mostly black as well.

That's very normal to avoid using demo versions for doing jobs.
