Material Transitions Not Working in 3.X

For some reason, my material transitions aren't working anymore since upgrading to 3.x. Anyone know why? Is there a new way of transitioning between materials?
Below are how the transitions looked in 2.x, and now they just pop on and completely disregard the transition information I have set up (and nothing has changed with the project files since I first created them in 2.x).
Thanks.

Nice images! But what do you mean here with 'transition'?

Thanks! The best way to describe the "transition" it is to show you the video I created. The transitions I'm referring to happen in the first 20 seconds of this video (the school classroom scene isn't a problem, just the hospital scene and the board room scene):

The way I accomplished it was to create my transitions in AE, export to a PNG sequence, then use that sequence in a mix material in the amount section. I've included screenshots of the material setup below. I've tried reloading the image sequence, deleting and re-inserting the sequence, and I've even tried using JPG and PNG as sequences, and none of them seem to work.

On understand. Your title is a bit wrong so. Nevermind!
It should be about image sequence and animation parameters. Which version do you use?

Yeah, I wasn't sure exactly what name to give my "problem". LOL
I'm currently using 3.00-R1.1

I created the original animation in 2.25-R4

I believe you should read this:
Changes of V3.01.1-R1
- Experimental material stacking feature by C4D texture tags. See notes about usage.
- Fix: ignored range parameter in animated sequences
- Fix: Not visible volume/scatter objects on first frame renders
- Fix: enabled partial-alpha parameter for old scenes.
- Fix: unfinised render when region acitaved in Picture Viewer.
- Fix: Extreme memory usage on Animation rendering when vertex motion blur is used.
- Fix: Daylight_tag/medium/Add_fog button
- Fix: Volume object(VDB) velocity scale
- Fix: Tonemapping gpu selections

Oh, so I need to download and install the latest version?

Of course! Only way to get fixes. Also please always try to go with actual versions.

Perfect! Thank you for your help. Glad to know I didn't break my project files.
