Hello everyone from Istanbul. As a company we are planning to start octane render, but we have a technical question; the project is being rendered in the video card while being held in memory, octane render does use all Graphics Cards If that's the case memory combine ? or using a single one?
I'll wait for immediate feedback, Thank you for everything!

Hello Şebnem from there,
Best is to use multi-graphic cards. It uses VRAM as lowest VRAM of gpus. So it's not additive, let's say parallel on VRAM usage.
It cannot hold geometries in system RAM but uses this ram for export process. But we have out-of-core for textures. You can keep textures in system RAM with this option.
See this manual for more explanations:

We recently upgraded to Octane 3.02. During one of our renders, we received an "out of memory" error message. This message never occurred when rendering with Octane 2.
The attached image is a composited screenshot from one renderbox (with four Titan's) when Octane crashed. The data is from a cuda program showing that there is plenty of free memory remaining on each graphics card.
What is most alarming, other than the "out of memory" error message, is that 48 GB RAM of graphics card memory maxes out at 12 GB RAM. If this is by design, why?!

Yes design and it's running on seperated devices(gpu) as parallel. It's answered here:
