Help - how to render vertex color in octane

Is this possible at all? There is no map like this. I use a lot of VC in my scenes, especially with frost and particle meshing. This is the only and last thing that I have vray installed on my system. If vertex color rendering is present in octane 3.0 for 3dsmax, I can uninstall vray forever, now.

Hey,

Vertex color support is not currently available in Octane. Something along these lines could be a possibility in the future, but there are too many high priority tasks at the moment to make time for this implementation.

The most viable workaround would be to utilize a Texture Map/UV solution. See here for reference: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=29951

Cheers,
Azen

Hi mark0spasic,
it would be helpful to have support for vertex color as 3dsMax other maps.
To make this would be necessary in any case an automatic baking process.
I suppose that will be implemented in the near future as it had for other maps as composite.
I will ask the developers if there is a roadmap about maps.
