Texture not visible

Hi, new to this fantastic tool, and already bumped into some trouble. Simple thing, a cube in modo, an image map with texture, UV-d, but nothing comes up in the Octane viewport, I have scanned the forum, manual and tutorials. Grateful for help with this, probably, really basic thing.

To be even more clear, this is what I would like to do. But haven't figured out how to...

(1) Applying graphics/text/symbols on a model in modo.

(2) Watching the progress in the Octane viewport in Modo

In Modo I usually apply graphics on a png image map, so that material properties beneath are revealed.

Hi - welcome to the forums. Without a screenshot or sample scene it is very hard to work out exactly what you are trying to do. If you make sure Preferences->Octane->Render Cache is off, then add your images in the Shader Tree material group for the cube as you would with a Modo render then the Octane plugin should pick them up automatically without you needing to do anything. https://docs.otoy.com/#60Materials%20Editing Also, check the Modo Event Log - there might be an issue reported there.

Thanks! Did not find where to set the render cache, in the preferences.

So, here is my example, sphere with a blue material, a texture on top with graphics, attached an image. Octane viewport, shows something dark grey...with no graphics...

The Render Cache option is in the Octane preferences.

Thanks for posting the screenshot. At a guess I would say the Project Type for the texture locator of the image is not set to UV, and is instead set to a non-supported projection. Pls see https://docs.otoy.com/#60Projection%20Mapping for what is and is not supported in this regard. If that does not solve the issue, yes send me the scene and I will take a closer look.
