Hi,

Yes, Phoenix should work with Octane 3. Since Octane 3 is still in Beta, there may still be some issues with support for this. If so, please detail the issues you are currently, to allow for more effective troubleshooting on our end.

Cheers,
Azen

Hi,

Fume FX falls under the same category as Phoenix. The aim is for all plugins to be usable with the Octane plugin (owing to an overhaul in the construction of core as well as the plugins). In short, Fume FX will be compatible with Octane for 3ds Max.

Someone said Phoenix fd does not create vdb files will we be able to use it for 3ds Max to render smoke foam bubbles.

(In tandem to FumeFX compatibility) we're hoping to make use of the PhoenixFD SDK for the upcoming Max plugin release. This is currently in progress.
