Could you please help me with v3.00 activation? I receive the following activation error with DS4 Octane 3.00 alpha 10 and also Octane 3.00 standalone:

"Sign-in error

User credentials are not valid or have expired"

My Daz and standalone versions 2 work fine. I am entering my otoy user/pass, and not my Octane license info. Thank you

Try running Octane Standalone beta 1. If that works, you should be able to then log into the alpha 10 version of the plugin.

thank you for your help.

I tried the Octane v3 beta standalone, but received the same error:

I am pretty sure I am typing in the right user/pass, because I receive a different error message if I deliberately enter a wrong password:

I purchased Octane versions 1 and then paid the upgrade fee for version 2 when it first came out. Do I need to contact customer support to activate beta access for version 3?

Thank you! :ugeek:

I have escalated this issue to Otoy.

Hi Thexder,

Make sure that the credentials you are entering work here:

https://account.otoy.com

If they don't you might need to get a new password. If your credentials do work there but not on Octane itself, please let us know to investigate further into this issue.

Thank you and sorry for the inconveniences.

Thank you, Mojave. As you suggested, I entered my user/pass at https://account.otoy.com, which worked fine and permitted me access to the otoy website.

However, I just tried the same user/pass in the actual OctaneRender standalone v3.00 beta program and received the same error message I received before:

"Sign-in error
User credentials are not valid or have expired.
Please ensure you are using your OTOY credentials and not your license information."

What should I do next to enable access to beta v3.00 to standalone and the Daz Studio plug-in? I appreciate all your help and thank you.

I had the same. here's what I did:

on the https://account.otoy.com page sign out.
sign in again - do not use the facebook or google button, enter username or email and password manually.
that didn't work for me, so I had my password reset.
after that with a fresh password I could sign in and enter the credentials for the plugin, too.

Thank you everyone. I think the problem solved itself. The username is case-sensitive for the Otoy credentials. The user/pass worked for Octane activation v3.00. Cheers

Hopefully just a 'placeholder' .. upgraded to V3 of Octane standalone and the related OcDS. Downloaded latest of both, plus latest nVidia drivers. I should have known ... everything went fine, everything installed and authorised without a hint of a problem.

Then I started Daz Studio ... and ... AppCrash in octane.dll.

<Edit>
Octane 3, standalone works fine, with a very quick and basic test.
</Edit>
<Edit 2>
Just noticed I posted this in the wrong thread!
Plus, having deleted anything OcDS-related and re-installing it now no longer crashes DS on start-up.
</Edit 2>
<Edit 3>
Spoke to soon! It took a bit longer and I thought DS had started, but ... another crash involving octane.dll I'll start posting in the right thread now to track this!
</Edit 3>
