Hi All,

Haven't posted in a while, but these renderings are now public, so I thought I'd share.

A couple of 'one off' plaza and high street promenade renderings for my beloved Miami Worldcenter project.

All one-shot, no patches, no composites. Minor dodge and burn in post.

All PT, Linear. No bells, no whistles. Just old skool 2.16a.

best,
O

insane amount of detail, really nice. 3D people stick out though and ruin the illusion a bit though for me, specially in the day shot, would probably benefit more from 2d people in post prod. otherwise really attractive images.

You guys do some amazing work, Olitech...
Render times must be crazy on these scenes though... 8 hours+ on your rig? What is 2.16a?

Moonhowl:

I know. I tend to agree, however we are currently trying to improve our 3d people. Only way for us is to move forward. We refuse to go back to photoshopping people in. =)

Peter:

Thanks man! We will be bodyscanning our own 3d people this summer...hopefully!

Seekerfinder:

Thanks Seeker! Long time, my man. Daytime scene rendered in 2 hours on 2 Titans. Night was around 6-8 to get it clean in the nooks and crannies. Next time, I'll try PMC for the night shots. Octane Max plug 2.16a.

All:

This is just an interim design. We are currently working on renderings and animations for the final design concept.

best,
O

Ah ok, thanks O. 8 Hours on two Titans for that scene is not bad at all. I agree about moving forward with 3D people. Presume you did the blur in post?

Hell no. (I'm too lazy for that) Octane moblur, baby! Those people are all animated.

All we do in post is minor levels adjustments and maaaaaaybe z-depth for quick fog.

Otherwise we let Octane do all the hard work.

best,
O

That's the way to do it! Who's people do you use if you don't mind sharing...?

Thanks Oligarch...
The usual 3D suspects. I have some renderpeople assets. They're pretty good.
