Animation: Highlights glissen when camera still

Rendered animation. After camera stops, the highlites seem to glissen or act as if the camera is still moving. The highlites fluctuate like they are reflecting a running stream. Just a room, no light shinning through window. HDR and 1 plane emitter. Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.

That may be a very small glossy highlight, or a place where you have a glossy reflection in a glossy reflection. Without images it's hard to tell how to mitigate this.

Yes it is. see attached. I expect it while camera is moving in, but once camera stops, and animation continues, these areas still seem to glisten or fluctuate. understand?

Hmm I can't see anything obvious in that image. Can you tell us more about the scene? Like:
- What kernel
- What type of environment and lighting in the scene
- The material on the skin
- Any bump mapping or displacement on the skin

V4. Redspec SSS, HDR in Texture Environment Power=1, Gamma=1, plane light emitter power=30, Kernel=Direct Light
I removed the Redspec SSS and the Light emitter, and still the areas of skin with some highlights look like ants running around, or glistening. Not sure how to describe it. Is there some setting for textures or light to tell them its an animation?

I think it would be easier to show us the animation. However what you are describing sounds like render noise - the noise is slightly different in each frame and it might give the illusion of "glistening"

Yea. U must bring right. Since its an animation and rendering only few hundred samples each frame must be causing it. Ugh. Animation long and only a gtx 690. Oh well, I'll see if I can remove the highlights so they don't cause noise. Thanks.

A few things you can try are:
- Render the animation with the static noise kernel setting enabled.
- Test if you can get away with slightly increasing the roughness on that skin material. Avoid a combination of zero roughness and a very fine bump map.
- When using a bump map, check if the strength of the bump map is correct.

Hey
was on a 1-week vacation, so only seeing this now.
My first tip would be to lower your light power to something around 5-10 and instead increase your exposure to compensate for the now darker scene.
This can take care of overshot highlights.
