Hello,

I am now using the 3.0 plugin and I was wondering on how I can make volumetric effects with the new system. Is it still the same way that the camera needs to be outside the object?

Environment tab, Medium->set to SSS, Scattering = white, Medium Radius try 20, adjust the effect with the SSS Scale.

Try a Medium radius of 20, as face_off suggested.
Set the Medium density to 0.3 - this should give you a good starting point :)

@face_off & TRRazor, I'm a bit of an in-experienced user in Octane, where exactly can I find the environment tab?
I'm using the C4D plugin, so I don't know if the instruction can be applyed the same.

It all really depends on the lighting in your scene.
Try to have one direct light source, either in your HDRi map, or use the Daylight environment (it's easier to get great results with this).

I attached a screenshot, showing you some starting point settings. If your scene is not visible after applying these, try playing with the medium scale and medium density nodes.

Thanks man! I'll dive into this as soon as possible.
