It is not my job to judge if and how much you are experienced or not in "all" 3d software as 3d generalist/artist and developer.
If you are good or one of the best,,, congrats.
It was not my intention to dictate you, what is best or not,,, just a suggestion and I tried to explain you my point and why.
And,,, hey,,, if you think you can judge it better,,, cool,,, then do it so.
From what I saw so far,,, you and jimstar are doing a really good job and I like what I see!
But you and other developers also should think about following if your target is not only individuals/one man shows.
If you are working in a pipeline you are thankfull for a unified ui and every little click, that can be avoided or don't have to script for every single gizmo and don't have to search around.
Especially in very tight timed projects if you are forced to react fast on changes and it gets sometimes chaotic, working sometimes day and night.
I am a 3d generalist/artist in my daily job, too, and my hope was to find in Octane and its plugins a solution for an optimal workflow in a pipeline,,, and the new announced orbx format took my attention for transferring data between the applications without to be forced to tweak everything again and again in the different 3d/comp software if you have to go forth and back or working with external teams with different software.
And just a side note you talking about experience and you know what's best for Cinema...
I am not a noob,,, I am since more than 24 years in the business as 3d generalist/artist and have worked in many teams, with/for many companies, many 3d/2d software and saw many of these applications come and go.
I was one of the first cinema 4d user (Fastray/1991) and sponsored Maxon with their first real professional renderings for ads, helped them grow and to promote cinema 4d,,, worked 2 years with the brothers Philip and Christian Losch, and Richard Kurz,,, and I had my visions for c4d, too.
Maxon is developing tools and functions, lately and finally, I asked them 24 years ago.
I am using Cinema 4d since 24 years permanently, but forced by flexiblity to work with many other software in addition, too.
Now I am working as multi generalist/artist with Cinema 4D, Maya and Max, am cutter, composer and graphics designer in a film company, sometimes as team member, sometimes as team leader, sometimes as creative director, a.s.o. .
So far to the experience,,, and hey,,, who am I to force you to do things.
You are the king of your castle and you decide what's right or wrong,,, I can just suggest,,, like all other.
May be I am mean while to old for this job.
So please,,, just be patient with an old man.
And just a second side note...
I see you're living in Türkiye!
I was born in Türkiye and spent my childhood in Ordu.
So in türkish words...
Türkiyeye selamlar ve sana iyi günler dilerim.
Bana darilma.
Hadi görüşürüs/see you,
Can
