Modo 801_ 999 error + 901 mangled geomerty

Hello!
I just added another gtx 780 ti watercooled to my rig and had to uninstall and reinstall (clean) newest drivers (I had some hickups ) I'm using a 750 ti only for display.
Now this is strange: when using Modo 801, no card is recognized in the cuda list, get the error 999 in the log file. Now if I use Octane for Lightwave, everything is fine. Same with the standalone.
I removed the octane 801 kit folder and installed the 901 (I have both 801 AND 901 installed)
Everything is fine in the cuda list, log is ok but I get strange problem with even a very simple primities test scene (all quads and triangles)
