Help with Translucent Lamp Shade

I'm having trouble getting what would normally be setup with translucency in Native LW. I want a bulb to illuminate the shade with different intensity as the bulb is closer to the shade. I'm trying Medium nodes but nothing is happening...

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Can you post a reference image to figure what kind of effect are you looking for?

I think that you could use a mix of two materials, one glossy and one specular. The specular roughness feature can simulate the light dispersion in translucent lamp. Attached you have the scene.

To create lampshades transmission I gave the lamp's light bulb a Texture Emission with a power of 5.0, then I gave the lampshade surface a transmission setting of 35%. I rendered with the Direct Lighting Kernel set to Diffuse with a Diffuse Depth of 2. Hope that helps.

You don't say whether you used Diffuse or Specular material. I assume Diffuse. It's a little annoying/weird Glossy material doesn't have Transmission because I would have thought that would be the preferred material for a lampshade. Because I like glossy I've been reducing opacity to 80% but it's always noisy. I guess I should try Juanjo's method.

I'm using a Diffuse Material with a white *jpg in it's Diffuse channel, seems to help with the transmission. It's a simple setup, you should be able to mix Specular or Gloss in if that fits the look you need.
