How to make imported mesh textures visible?

Hey Everyone,

Recently I purchased the OctaneRender plugin for MODO (OS X). Everything seems to work fine except that when i import a mesh with a few textures the don’t show up. It’s just a blank model. But al the materials and textures do show up in the shader tree. After reading the online manual it shoeld work after making a bunch of Octane overwrites an re-linking with nodes in the OctaneRender setup window in MODO. But no matter what I do, I can’t make it work.

For example this simple plant model; what do i have to do to make the alpha mask and the textures show up?

Thanks in advance!

I suspect that imported model has a Selection Set assigned to the material group. Clear this (change the Polygon Tag Type to Material, and Polygon Tag to All). I will probably change the plugin to do this for you by default in the near future.

Hey Paul,

Changing the Polygon Tag Type to material and the Polygon Tag to all indeed did the trick!

If these are the only things that I need to change than it’s not a problem. But as you said, if it could be done by default, that would be nice.

Anyway, thanks for the advice!
