Hi there.
For now You need to upload orbx package in order to rende in the cloud, but I read in these forums them about integrating cloud into application (guess somewhat simillar to how network rendering works now =)

Hi there
So will it work similar to say "GPUBOX" where the local computer sees the gpu's as available devices?
Thanks in advance

It will be more like a job manager that you operate from the SE or plug-ins. We are adding synching of data to/from the cloud service, so you don't have to upload a new ORBX every time or use the web UI to start a render job. ORC is great for larger jobs, for example you can have separate GPUs on the cloud rendering each frame of an animated sequence in parallel over hundreds of GPUs.
We also expect ORC to be super efficient for rendering VR, light fields and baking. One you render a light field scene, you can then pull down a new viewpoint automatically from ORC for example. So you can generate any camera path you want on the fly without needing to do a new render.

It looks like the 2.0 update should be out this month. We'll let everyone know once it is published, and provide samples to get people going. Atfer that is out, we'll work on script nodes for Octane and the plug-ins that will export to ORBX media packages without having to write your own lua files.

great news
Could you clarify if in the end, we would be able to access the gpu's straight from the plugins? without the need to export etc
I mean would they be available as devices on our local machines.
cheers
