DOF in panorama lens.

Would it be possible to activate the depth of field sampling whilst in panoramic mode ? I'm doing some lat-long renders and would LOVE to be able to apply dof on them straight out of the box.
I know the concept of depth of field is a difficult one once you deal with a non-standard lens like a 360x one, but would it be possible to just use the distance from camera to a point for focal reference ? And then an arbitrary fstop ?

Yes, sorry. Currently the Octane Panoramic camera doesn't support DOF. Perhaps you could add this effect in post using a Z pass.

Unfortunately the concept of z-depth is completly negated when using panoramic lenses, I've opted for a position pass that can generate a radial ramp from the camera and outwards, but the reason for wanting IN the render is the problem of occlusion and edge artifacts.

Yeah, sure. This is a limitation of the panoramic camera. Lets see if Octane 3 could add this feature to this node.

That would be terrific! The other option is to wait for deep support and use Nuke and the Bokeh tool, but thats another 5 grand right there

Hey guys, how does the position pass ramp work? I've used position passes before for relight but not for any other workflows.
thanks
