Displacement - help!

Hi guys,

I'm having real problems with the displacement on this object.

I know that the UVs need to be mapped properly before the displacement will function without looking like a total mess.

I would be eternally grateful if someone would have a go at doing it for me. I have projected it from a million different angles and tried to unwrap it but nothing I do produces a decent result with my material

I'm not so into modelling on the level Octane demands - when it comes to displacement anyway - but I know some of you guys are! :)

I have made this mesh using a noise deformer - It requires a specific plugin (noise deformer) to do it. If you think I need a less dense mesh or a change of some kind I can do that and re-upload it.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Dude, Sorry but you just can׳t say: "i don׳t know how to do it, can one of you do it for me?"
It just doesn't work like that. People here are more then happy to assist but it is bordering on insolence.

In the last displacement topics you have posted - me & other members helped you and showed you how displacement can work properly.
Just follow those rules, unwrap the uvs properly and everything will work for you.

I see your point.
But from experience, seeing someone perform the task and breaking it down upon inspection is the quickest way to learn - Not fumbling around in the dark.
