Texture positioning / Alpha backgrounds / Smoothing control?

Hi there - brand new to Octane. Just posted a couple renders in the work in progress.

My questions thus far (should you be up for the task :)

Is there a way to control the texturing of the nameplates in this (for instance) to allow me to map each nameplate individually in Octane - or is that something best handled in Max prior to export?

Is there a way to move textures around inside of Octane? I know I can scale, but a way to position?

Is there a way to render using HDRI - but exclude that HDRI from the background? OR - a way to save the file with an alpha channel for removing the background image?

Is there a way to control smoothing values? As seen on the pulls on the upper drawers?

Thank you for your insights,
Jonathon

Lovely model.

I can answer the last one for you. There is a smooth checkbox at the bottom of each texture definition. It's called "Smooth". This should do the trick.

Thanks :)

Thanks fro the tip, but I actually have tried that (it's checked for that material in that rendering). I was just hoping for smoothing control that would allow for the sensitivity for the smoothing. Still getting used to the tolerances...
