The OSX version of OctaneRender™ for Maya® plugin, 64-bit.

Maya® Version Requirements

This release will work with Maya® Version 2015 64-bit on OSX operating system (including and above 10.8).

Notes regarding features/functionality

OctaneRender™ for Maya® implements almost full functionality of OctaneRender™ standalone inside Maya®.

COMPATIBILITY AND OCTANERENDER STANDALONE REQUIREMENT

To run OctaneRender™ for Maya®, you need to also have an activated OctaneRender™ Standalone copy activated on the machine you wish to install the plugin onto.
You cannot purchase and use only the Maya plugin and use it without also owning an activated copy of OctaneRender™ Standalone on your machine
.

HOW TO PURCHASE LICENSES

Go to our online shop here: http://render.otoy.com/shop/

If you do not own an OctaneRender™ Standalone Edition License yet:
You can purchase both the OctaneRender™ Standalone Edition and the OctaneRender™ for Maya® Edition as a reduced price bundle, purchase the bundle priced at 459€

If you already own one or more OctaneRender™ Standalone Edition licenses you want to pair the plugin with:
Purchase an "OctaneRender™ for Maya® Beta License" priced at 199€

You can also purchase a 3, 5 or 10 pack of OctaneRender™ for Maya® licenses, just like OctaneRender™ Standalone Edition packs.

OCTANELIVE

Just like OctaneRender™ Standalone, the Maya® plugin product also needs an additional OctaneLive license and be activated on a machine.
This has to be done in the plugin interface panel in Maya, and is covered in the included PDF manual.
It can only be done after an OctaneRender™ Standalone license is already activated on the machine in question.

All running very well under Yosemite and 2.06 JimStar

Thanks

Can you please check Maya Network Rendeirng.
I have complete licenses running and operational One for Standalone Master and Maya PLugin Master
Same for Standalone slave machien and Maya PLugin Slave

When using the standalone Mac OSX I can use the slaves from the PC.
When using the Maya Plugin it renders on the MAC but does not see the PC Slaves.

Any ideas.

Thanks

Peter

Do you mean in batch animation rendering, or in IPR too? Are you sure the slaves are not busy by other master process at this time?

Right now it is just IPR rendering not batch mode.

Slave PC machine is not rendering anything when I am doing the test on the Mac Master. On the slave PC... Maya is open but not rendering anything. The standalone on the PC slave not open.

On the Master Mac Only Maya is open.

On the Mac (Master) the standalone is 2.06
On the Mac Maya (Master) is 2.20-6.1 (OSX)

On PC (Slave) Standalone is 2.06
On PC (Slave) Maya plugin is Win 2.20-6.1

So we all match up

The slave PC Daemon is giving the following message:
Master Daemon has invalid version (7)
failed to decode beacon message from master 128.111.50...... etc.

The Mac Script Editor in verbose mode upon starting render gives no Netwrok render errors

// Octane: Refreshed image, 4 samples per pixel of 16000 // ......

It shows Slaves: 0, GPUs: 0/0 even though I ran the daemon on the slave and told it to see all the GPUs.

Does this info help trouble shoot

Thanks

No it doesn't.
You must have the same Octane slave version as the one is running as master.

Do you mean the Standalone and the plugin must be the same...

Both plugins are 2.20 and the stand alones are 2.6?

All I can find in the stand-alone is 2.16 not 2.2

Are you ahead of the standalone : > )) ??
