as this is first day in octane, i tried to render anything, but i got black screen whatever i do.

brand new GTX 980 GIGABYTE GAMING 1, latest nvidia driver.

2.16.2 or 2.16.1?
Please try this attached scenes first. In a version we had a problem with default environment color which was black.

i forgot to say, i just installed plugin, i didnt install standalone. maybe thats the fault?
i will check this scene as soon as i can.

Plugin uses a default environment color. But there was a mistake, which was black by default. I have fixed this on last demo. But still will be needed to set it on unclean install. You can set it in "octane settings->environment color".

i downloaded the demo version for cinema r16 Win64bit. I have the same problem karliskarklins1993 had. Can you tell me how you solved it? Is the standalone version a requirement for the plugin version? PLease help me, regards max

Having the same problem, tried the scene-files linked above, still black. Demo version 2.16.2

To be more clear, please confirm it's a environment issue by default environment color. Create a octane sky with some gray texture. You can easily create from Live Viewer -> objects. Also change defalt environment texture color from settings->env section

Got it working by updating the nvidia driver

Im having the same issues on R16. I have the latest nvidia, tried light, tried environment trick still black. IMG attached
