VFB+ Support

Dear Octane Developers,

I am a user and a friend of the developer of a frame buffer plugin for 3dsmax called VFB+.

Certain feature does not work when used together with Octane Render. I use VFB+ mostly for its perfect firefly and noise reduction features when I render with Octane, the result is perfect, but it does not work in a sequence because of the descriped problems below.

VFB+ can optionally save an output of the last rendered frame, applying color correction, etc.
It does so in reaction to 3dsmax's post-frame notification, which Octane Render does not seem to broadcast.

On a technical level, all whats missing is for Octane to call this after each frame renders:

BroadcastNotification(NOTIFY_POST_RENDERFRAME, rContext);

where rContext is a pointer to the RenderGlobalContext object according to the docs, though it's of no importance to my needs.

Do you think this is something you could add to Octane Render?

Here is a comparison of ocatne with and without VFB+.

It would be very nice if anyone of the octaneteam could help, even if its not your software. Also it will help many users of octane to get rid of noise...

Thanks :-)

+1 also! Very nice!
I can see this reducing render time by compensating for so many max samples per frame.

I think Karba should read this, as he is the one who is responsible for 3dsmax?!

Hopefully he does :-)

Looks like a good idea, though im sure OTOY could add this functionality to their VFB and do it better :)

If he can exposed as a generic C(not C++) API so/dll we may to incorporate it through a script node and have it work in the plug-ins/SE through some experimental APIs we are testing out.

How does it work on a more complex night scene? In anyway, thumbs up for the idea :)
