OctaneRender™ for Blender 2.15 - 7.0 Win [OBSOLETE]

OctaneRender™ for Blender plugin. Windows x64 version.

The bundle consists from two parts:
1. OctaneRender™ Server
2. Blender - OctaneRender™ edition.

The first part (server) should be run on the same computer as the second one. To stop the server - just right-click its icon in the tray.
After the server is run - you can start rendering (or open a rendered view) from inside Blender. Before the very first rendering you should fill in the server address (only 127.0.0.1 at the time), login and password (your license key info) to activate the server. After the first rendering the server will remember this activation info, and you will not need to enter it again.

You should use only OctaneRender materials inside Blender scenes - the plugin knows nothing about Blender specific materials and textures (about any Blender nodes, generally speaking).

FIXES AND NEW FEATURES SINCE LAST RELEASE
  • Switched to 2.15 engine.
  • Octane render passes are implemented.
  • New "Highlight compression" pin in camera imager node.
  • New "Path term. power", "Coherent ratio", "Static noise", "Max speed" pins in kernel nodes.
  • New "Roughness" pin in Diffuse material node.
  • New "Turbulence", "Invert" and "Gamma" pins in Turbulence texture node.
  • New "Hue", "Saturation" and "Contrast" pins in Color Correct texture node.
  • New "Cast illumination" and "Surface brightness" pins in emission nodes.
  • New "Polygon Side" texture.
  • "Distribution" pin of emission nodes is now "Emission pattern"
  • The emission sampling rate can now be set to "0".
  • Removed obsolete "Brightness scale" and "Black level" pins from Color Correct texture node.
  • Removed obsolete "RRprob" pin from kernel nodes.
  • Removed obsolete "Fstop" and "ISO" pins from the camera imager node.
  • Exposure of the camera imager now is scaled differently, so be prepared to that when opening the old scenes in this version.
  • Minor fixes...

After starting OctaneServer it will take some time before the LiveDB tree and LiveDB material previews will be available from Blender - as OctaneServer caches the LiveDB data from remote server right after starting. But only the materials groups tree will be re-cached every time after server start, LiveDB material preview images will be cached only once - so only the very first OctaneServer start will need some more time before LiveDB tree will be available in Blender.

Thank you for this release.

A couple of issues I notice from previous release.

1. The camera autofocus does not work unless it is set to an object.
2. With a few interior scenes I tested both HDR and emitters seem to be 30% brighter.

Oh well. My delighted with the new version will be more moderate. More precisely they will not be at all. To test scene I created a lot of glass, glare and bloom to notice the difference in lighting. Noticed. Picture 1.15 version much brighter. And if it was a difficult scene sunset I worked a year? Generally, it is blasphemy - to adapt the rendering so that the picture in all project changes, people can not sleep for hours diaphragm exposed, and they bang and all work is lost. It is not correct.

Now to the "rapture." The new version of Render longer (!) I do not believe it - rendered the twice rearranged version, but the result was repeated.

v 1.15: 4min 02sec:

I am extremely dissatisfied with the fact that the picture became brighter. I thought of the dusty evening, and the new version was a nuclear fungus. Yes, I spent half a second is twisting the camera settings. But the fact that these efforts are offset by the new version is wrong. And even more so for a paid product.

I am trying to render and it stops at "Waiting for image...".
I checked the console and there arent any errors.
This happens to every scene. Also when I try to activate my license Octane server crashes.
I have reinstalled twice...
What am I doing wrong?

One of the reasons may be: when using F12 render, you need to enable the pass checkbox if the pass other than "Combined" is chosen as current.

Thank you for responding!
Even if I use rendered viewport it stops at "Waiting for image..." and the screen is black...
As for the pass checkbox, I dont really know where it is :?
Also the material preview is not working.

Are you sure you have the actual NVidia drivers installed?
