just a test - began to study the octane render fell 40 minutes of free time - I tried to visualize standard test bottle and the liquid

.... I immediately realized that a lot of difficulties.
For example I don't like the path of contact between glass and liquid

rayepsilon at kernel settings? -> variate with it
glass -> the right thickness?
scene scale isn`t too big or small?
lighting setup?
camera settings? iso and gamma/exp
right material settings?
3d geom. is done right?
Overlapping surfaces of liquid and glass?
(http://render.otoy.com/forum/search.php ... mit=Search)
There are a few threads on the form discussing the topic of liquids/geom.

How long did it take you to set this scene up properly? ;)

thanks for the link ... took this morning tests The 3D model itself is not correct - but the rule of visualization I understood how to do original ---- http://api.wine-gu.ru/images/345/413/130532B.jpeg

Yes I think the geometry of the fluid should intersect the geometry of the glass to get the physically correct refraction effect.
Anyways good lighting and render.
Max.
