I often make perspective with smallest possible fov (1) and with far camera distance ... For instance to have top views with just little perspective.. Almost plan.
This also works nicely for sections of buildings, or fake isometric view.
There is also ortho(something?.. I am not behind PC NOW) and perspective correction to play with..
Can you show Archicad printscreen of example of camera you want to render in plugin?

I dont get anything on the view-port of octane though . Took your advice on fov and made such a camera on perspective but when rendering I get nothing simple white canvas?

Your resolution is 11811x3500 and very high,
Therefor, in the preview you only see a little piece
You have to scroll in the the octane plugin viewport not only to see the 'emtpy' corner.
Try 1181x350 resolution to have a kind of preview to if it works.

Edited twice: note about max 8192 pixels,
fooze says:"Nope, the limit was increased to 32k x 32k in 1.50 (provided you have the VRAM)."

The 8192 max has been increased. However 11811 is certainly too wide to visibly match the Octane camera to the ArchiCAD camera. I suggest unclicking Lock Resolution whilst you are getting the camera right - tick the "Orthographic" pin on the Octane camera, then move the fov or scale slider to get the correct size.
