artlantis to octane standalone

Just trying one thing between artlantis and octane.
I saved the whole artlantis scene as OBJ and import in Octane using geometry - mesh.
But after that, I just got lost and there is noting really happening.
Any idea?
Thanks.

I haven't tried Artlantis to Standalone, but at a guess I would say the geometry should be ok - but you'll need to make sure the materials come across OK - particularly the texturemaps (which might need to be in the same folder as the MTL).

I also tried this before, but I am not sure what my results were... "I'll be back" with my findings.

Up front:
You might check your scene scale (ie. mm or m in artlantis and or try rotation OBJ in Octane/plugin).
Also check that you origin of whole scene in Artlantie is logical nearby.. I often use center/bottom
I do not think Artlantis exports with different vertical axis for import in Octane,
but you might check rotation OBJ as well: somuetimes I have purchased OBJ with XYZ difference in vertical axis... (Y for vertical instead of Z)

Hi Scottie,
I have exported an Artlantis scene to an OBj and imported it in Archicad plugin.
The UV textures are exported, but imported mirrored in the plugsin ?
When I re-open the OBj in Artlantis the texturemaps are mirrored too, so it is not a problem of the plugin, but the way Artlanti exports it to OBJ.
I am using Artlantis 4 by the way... maybe it is improved in artlantis 5?
In the plugin I have to set the proxy scale to 1% to get the right size.

Hi Scottie,
Ok, maybe the scene I started with in ATL had something strange with UV or something.. so to be sure I started a scene from scratch.
I have made a scene 100x50cm and heigth 100cm adn made a material to give it a texture front and back.
Then I saved only that object to SKPs.
Then I opened Sketchup and used the Octane exporter to save it as an OBJ.
(When saving from Archicad directly to an OBJ, the UV is not good, that's why I use Skecthup as inbetween)
Then I open the OBJ in Artlantis and export it again to a new OBJ.
So Now I have one OBJ from Sketchup and one from Artlantis
In sefperately Archicad files I used the OBJ as a proxy with scale 100% and they are both fine.
So my conclusion is taht when having the scene UV-ed properly it is possible to have a good export from Artlantis to OBj to be used as correct proxy.
