OctaneRender™ for Blender 1.55 - 5.0 Win [OBSOLETE]

OctaneRender™ for Blender plugin. Windows x64 version.

The bundle consists from two parts:
1. OctaneRender™ Server
2. Blender - OctaneRender™ edition.

The first part (server) should be run on the same computer as the second one. To stop the server - just right-click its icon in the tray.
After the server is run - you can start rendering (or open a rendered view) from inside Blender. Before the very first rendering you should fill in the server address (only 127.0.0.1 at the time), login and password (your license key info) to activate the server. After the first rendering the server will remember this activation info, and you will not need to enter it again.

You should use only OctaneRender materials inside Blender scenes - the plugin knows nothing about Blender specific materials and textures (about any Blender nodes, generally speaking).

FIXES AND NEW FEATURES SINCE LAST RELEASE
  • Merged with new 2.71.5 Blender.
  • Full code refactor and optimisations, prepared to move to v2. A lot of minor bug fixes.
  • New transform nodes added. Blender has no "enumeration" subtype for integer pins, so "Rotation order" does not have the user-friendly enumerations combobox - just integer value. It's not the plugin's problem, push on Blender developers about it.;)
  • New Info kernel attributes added.
  • Improved working with hi-poly scenes. You should understand that you need really a lot of memory to render hi-poly scenes in Octane and especially in Blender plugin - due to this client-server configuration forced by GPL. E.g. if your Blender scene takes 3GB of memory - the translation to Octane format takes additonal 3GB for Octane data structures, the server receives this data into its own 3GB buffer (this is already 9GB needed in total), and after that - the Octane engine itself will need a lot of additional memory to evaluate BVH for all this geometry... Say thanks to GPL...
  • Improved error-messages feedback from OctaneServer to Blender console.

After starting OctaneServer it will take some time before the LiveDB tree and LiveDB material previews will be available from Blender - as OctaneServer caches the LiveDB data from remote server right after starting. But only the materials groups tree will be re-cached every time after server start, LiveDB material preview images will be cached only once - so only the very first OctaneServer start will need some more time before LiveDB tree will be available in Blender.

First I will release few versions which fix some bugs added by full refactoring... At least Linux version already has some reported...
After all will be clean - the 2.X version will be released on the base of this stable refactored branch...

I solved by installing RuntimePack.14.4.12.Complete. You can find it here: http://modsgarden.cc/tools-software/27/ ... sion/1325/

http://www58.zippyshare.com/v/60859959/file.html

"Have you ever encountered such a window or a situation where the system can not find the file, and you do not know what application you need to install for this? If yes, then this pack is for you. It will not solve all of the problems but it will solve the most of them.

Files included in the pack
...
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package:
vcomp120.dll 12.0.21005.1 x86/x64
...
"

I hope to be helpful. ;)
Hello, SimDal

PS. It is a problem of Blender, not of Octane

Maybe fix the blender installation then? :)

I like stuff that works out of the box.

I guess they cant pack it into the free blender package, because its a Microsoft owned file. They expect you have certain versions of MS Visula C runtimes installed.

This files included in Blender Trunk package — I just copied them. It seems that normally they should present.
