Hello,

hi, I purchased and installed the version 2.06 of octane render standalone and plug-ins for cinema 4d version 2.03. everything works ... but on displacemnt I have problems.
in the viewport render nothing is changed despite changing the displacement. load an image. I dunno. do you have any tutorial to follow. maybe there is some setting that I do not understand you ..

Suggestions?

Many many thanks.

Hi, exactly didn't understand what are you doing. But first install standalone 2.05 and plugin 2.05. This is best for displacement.
No need any tutorials. Only use Octane materials for displacements. Use first a displacement node, and place a image to this. And activate displacement from material manager. Two images and a sample scene are below. That's all

Keep enjoy

@aoktar,
can you please give a finished Displacement material times, so that I can understand with the gradient and everything else to me.

plugin automatically can convert any shaders to imagetexture. So this is possible with this way

That's really cool.
So does the conversion to image file happen on the fly, as you're using the IPR?

I'm on the Maya side, so we don't have this option.
