It looks like you have the "resolution gate" problem.

I had this problem many times. When you set your setting to anything else than "fill", octane does not match the settings.
I've tried evry settings, the only one that works is "resolution gate : fill".

But maybe it is something else.

I just installed 2.02-4.1 and have same Camera issue not rendering what is in modeling viewport.

After installing the 4.1 version my saved bookmark is not longer what it used to be. I am zoomed the the hell in.

I did not have this issue in 2.02-4.0

This was reworked to more properly reflect the resolution gate of rendered image in Octane. Just enable the "Resolution gate" mode in viewport camera settings and you will see the exact fit.

Not sure if I agree Jim Star.

If you are talking about the Display options in the perspDhape node.

Display Film Gate
Display Resolution
Display Gate Mask
Overscan etc.

That should not change your view if the Device Aspect Ratio set in the Image size by your width and Height match your film aspect ratio

In my case both 1.778

Adding the Gate and resolution should not cause a jump in view. It will just show you what your res gate is and what is outside it etc.

Or are you talking about something else I am not aware of.

Thanks

Peter
