Hi
I'm having a hard time creating a facade render with overlaid lines :-/
I have a revit model that I link into 3ds max and render. I then export the facade from Revit as DWG and tries to overlay by using illustrator, but I really having a har time to make them 'fit'.
Does anyone know of a better solution?
I also have the plugin for Revit and have also asked the question in the releated group.
thanks

I have added some screens to show what I try to achieve.
I have also tried the Info channel / Wireframe, but I seems to triangulate all faces :-/
Does anyone know how to create this kind of illustration?
Thanks

Hi,
Dont use Octane camera, but a regular max camera to render. Use VRAY to render the wireframe overlay, you can use the same camera for both renderings and it takes a mere few seconds to set up the wireframe rendering in VRAY.

You can use Scanline with a standard material. Set the diffuse color to white, and use the wire feature in the material. Render and use multiply layer mode in PS.

Hi Chris
Sorry but I'm quite noob.
I have searched for 'scanline' in the forum, online manuel for standalone version and for sketchup for "Scanline", but did not find an explanation.
Can you explane please how it's done?
Thanks

Hi Jorgensen,
first you should become familar with 3dsMax i think.

Scanline is the default renderer in 3dsMax.
Maybe this tutorial can also help you.
