HDRI trouble, how to get HDRI´s work right?

Hello,
for a current project i decided to use octane for outdoor architcture animation.
I did some tests with the free HDRI set from Vizpeople and they work fine, more or less.
See imagenumber 1
But the hdri is mostly overexposed. to get rid of it, i put a colorshader in(for brighness etc. control)
, with gives me the wanted result, but it causes heavy fireflies. This is PROBLEM ONE
See imagenumber 2
Problem two is, if i use some other HDRI´s from Vizpark as for example, i get a totally unusable and uncontrollable overexposed image
See imagenumber 3
I use version 1,13, cause it runs very stable.
What can i do to get hdri´s work right/ get rid of the fireflies or overexposed images?
Any help is appreciated.
