Hello,
A new exploration with the studio rendering.
One area that I have never touched and tempted me for a while.
Still images for the moment and an animation probably coming soon.
It begins with an "old" Gallardo to warm up.
No postprod this first image.

The Model is very nice but the studiorender doesn´t attract me. Somehow the overall light composition seems wrong.
My eyes only notice the bright Spot on the ground and the to heavy highlights on the roof of the car/ frontside and glasses.
Also the license plate seems to BIG?
My personal opinion is, the ground (bottom left)could be a darker and show some struktur,
the carhighlight (roof of the car and glasses) maybe 30% less and a light spot behind the cars background to give more attention to the cars silhouette.
cheers, djart

Thank you for your precious advice, djart.
Here are some improvements for today. The green zones.
But I'm still struggling with the area corresponding to the red zone.
This is quite the BIG reflection. But if I touch it, I lose 50% of my lighting.
And I avoid to the maximum postpro, I always think about the animation.
To meditate.
Thank you!
Niuq

Maybe you could share a screenshot of your lightsetup? Is it lighted by lights, HDRI or by planes with emissionlight on it?
nice render, here are my sugestions
1. try to move this light a little to the left or back so that you only get the highlight as i painted with red (you can allso try to make the light source smaller)
2. the back is too dark, maybe add a light there
3. the front is allso a bit dark
4. you can try to add a verry big light source from above the car that will be visible on the windshield as a reflection, maybe even the hood.
and as an option maybe try to rotate the front wheel 20-50 degrees counterclock wise, i think it will give a more dynamic look.

Hi Lixai,
Thank you for your suggestions.
So. This is the final version.
To djart
Here are my light panels, there are a dozen.
However, each car is different and the position of the panels changes.
For example, the Gallardo is a very angular car and can't support very much soft lights.

looking better already
i guess all you have to do is play around with the material of the car.
Note the sharp reflections in the examples that i post next.
examples of studio lighting this car.

Looking forward to seeing the finished product! Be sure to take a screen cap of the car paint material when you're done and share it

Hey Niuq, instead of struggle with dozens of panels in the scene, have you consider using HDR Light Studio?
