A little test of a nice model (from a friend).
only 40 seconds on a GTX260, but it's a start, a built in flash with a real spectral curve of a xenon flash lamp, in the camera settings for v6
the floor plane is a pure diffuse wood texture.

ok so I suppose a virtual cube with the front face removed and an emissive back face follows the camera around?...great idea! could you set the flash proximity to the lens with XY sliders?

I have made some test simulating a flash emitter but the problem was that it don't follow the camera... a built in flash it's a fantastic feature

Here's a few more ideas. Thinking about it I guess the ordinary flash should be 2x1x1 rather than a cube

You're kidding! I was looking at some renders (not Octane) from Studio Aiko just the other day, and they had multiple lighting versions, one being a camera flash version (which looked fantastic). So I came here to suggest an automatic camera flash feature, but you're already doing it!
P.S. Pixelrush, your general knowledge of everything astonishes me.
