OctaneRender® for 3ds max® v1.22[Test]

Changes since 1.17

This build can be unstable. Don't use it for major projects.
  • Image Texture Transforms (scale, rotation, translation).
  • Image Texture border modes (Wrap, Mirror, Black, White, Clamp)
  • Internal mapping (Planar, Box, Cylindrical, Spherical, Perspective)
  • Object Properties (general visibility, camera visibility, shadows casting)
  • Optimization of BRDF models
  • New Node System (affects performance and stability only, no visible changes)
DOWNLOAD

We have 4 separate archives available for download, for Autodesk® 3ds max® 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. For 2014 use files from 2013.
Each archive contains the manual and installation text file, and both 32bit and x64 versions of the plugin,
so you only need to download one archive for your 3ds max® version from the following download links:

Karba,

Bug : info channel is broken => Max crash :(


Where is the rotation of texture environment ? Do I have to translate the 2D map in order to see the environment rotation ?

What means "Optimization of BRDF models"?
Do I need to adjust materials new?

Changes Noticed :

- FilmWidth and FilmIndex doesn't work the same way as 1.20.

first Bugs :

- changing kernel engine make 3dsmax crashs
- first octane render viewport ok, when i launch it again in the same scene, no more textures

I too have crashe when reopen octanerender viewport and there are other unpredictable crashes. (
error in the 3ds max dump file such - "(1630.4c60): Access violation - code c0000005 ntdll!NtGetContextThread+0xa: 00000000`77971f8a c3 ret"

film index doesn't work in specular material

• Crash when reopen Octane Viewport.
• Info Channel not work.
• Changing kernel engine with open Octane viewport it's fine.

I'm using 3ds Max 2014 x64.

Thanks for sharing~ Mr.Karba! Also I found a bug , when I select the emitter objects and then turn off the "Visible to Camera", it shows totally a black plane(which means still visible in viewport,both black and lights)~ could u please fix that?

WOW, seems faster... :o lots of instability and crashes with kernel changes.
