Help on grass

actually how to do grass in octane? can i still use hair?

Depends what You use =) standalone or plugin =) if let's say 3ds max then You can install forest pro, multiscatter, carbon scatter and scatter instances around with the help of those =) if You're on standalone =) You can try phantom scatter =) it's very useful yet very simple program, that will help You to generate coordinates for scatter and export them as .csv file =) then You only need to plug the file in standalone and use desired geometry =)

Yes, hair works with Octane Export and Octane plug-in. You only need to choose the correct type in "generate" tab in Hair object attributes (like triangle or controled extrusion, ...).
It seems Hair works with Octane plug-in only with a polygons selection, not with a whole object in the link of guides. I don't know why...
Sorry, I work with C4D in french, I'm not sure for the technical translations.

It seems Hair works with Octane plug-in only with a polygons selection, not with a whole object in the link of guides. I don't know why...
This is the answer. Your plane is still parametric and then you have no polygon selection. In this case, the result is like yours in Octane.
