Hi,
How are people coping with the lack of motion blur?
Also will motion blur ever be supported?
Brief workflow tips greatly appreciated.

I (using the 3dsmax plugin) use the following methods for Motion blur:
1. The max camera itself which has best quality
2. After Effects stock plugin for motion blur
3. Re:Vision Motion Blur plugin for 3dmax (demo only)
Option 2 and 3 are not that good in quality compare to option 1 but for option 1 the 3dmax camera renders lets say 12 pictures with less samples and overlays it to one image. It adds a bit to rendertime.
Option 3 also supports vector maps which I can render out with any other engine like MentalRay. it gives good precision too.
Thats all I can think off. Has C4D nice camera options with the stock camera system maybe?

With c4d you can get motion blur but afaik you cannot do this with octane. I use ae a bit and you can do some stuff to remedy even without 3rd party plugins, I was thinking of trying Kronos as it has retiming and motion blur accelerated by cuda...will look at re vision plugin. Hope something gets sorted for the c4d plugin...

Just sent a simple scene that should be 5 seconds long but rendered as 10 seconds 1080p to after effects then doubled speed, I added pixel timewarp effect then enabled motion blur with 16 samples and looks good. This is only a logo on white so not really testing this approach but looks good.
But please give us motion blur... Did someone say that early octane standalone had it then it got removed? If so bring it back if only for camera moves.
Craig.

for mblur, have two way: a motion pass and post effect or increase fps(fps*n) and lower maxsamples, import files and set to original fps with frameblending on a post pro program.
