Sorry if this has been covered but is there live animation in C4D in the Octane render window? I saw it in worked in the plugin for Max but not for C4D.

Are you meaning real time geometry updates? Any update on camera/lights/env./materials naturally changes on live view, also while playing. Geometry updates has some problem with sync objects. Only polygon meshes works nicely

yes if you try you can see, but has sync problems some type objects. Each program has different concept. Main problem to idendificate objects, i'm going to bring a new method
Edit: Finally i have changed system completely with most stabile updater
