HDR Environment textures render problem.

I wanted to use some HDR probes for environment lighting but no matter what HDR file I use, the plugin always renders the scene completely red. I've tried applying the map to an IBL light before loading up the plugin and I've loaded a map directly to environment node with an image texture. I've tried both HDR probes and panoramic HDRs. What am I doing wrong?

Ok try this. Change your lightning to Daylight, then back to texture enviroment, then under the drop down you will see texture = 1.0
Power = 1.0 and so on. click on texture and in the bottom box change float texture to image. you will then see a button saying " click here to select image" click on it and click on the button that says "select from the file system" then direct to your HDR image file and load. It should work.

It didn't work

The strange thing is that it switches from all blue to all red when I go from daylight to texture environment...

That is strange. Mine goes red when I dont select a Image. Recon paul would be the one to answer this question. have you tried reinstalling the blugin and overwriting everything?

I'll try that. I'll post how it goes.
EDIT: Re-installing the plugin didn't work.

Hi - can you post a screenshot of your Settings tab in the plugin, with the "environment" pin expanded?
What is the full path name of the HDR image that you are using?

Thanks Paul. The path name of my HDRIs contained special characters (Icelandic) so I moved the folder to the root of my drive and that seems to have done the trick

Does the plugin have problems with special character? Should I move my Poser scenes to another folder?
The power of the HDRs vary greatly. I have to set the Power of some well over 1.0 and others down to 0.01 or less. Is this ordinary when using HDR maps?

That's the problem! I fixed it a week or so ago - but haven't uploaded that version yet.

That is what I have found too. It seems to depend on how the HDR map was generated. But in general each map needs the power tweaked to get the right level.

I have just uploaded the latest version, which fixes the special characters in filenames/directory names issue. Re-download 1.11u (you should get 1.11u-5 on the plugin Setup screen).
