I think that the white balance picker is too much precise because it picks (samples) one single pixel and during the progressive render in a small area there are pixels of different colors. Moving the picker of just one pixel produces different white balance results.

The white balance picker should sample a medium area and calculate an average value.

I totally agree. It's a neat feature and has to be improved.

Currently it samples 3x3 pixels. We can increase the area, but to which size?

Currently it samples 3x3 pixels. We can increase the area, but to which size?

It should be larger with few computed samples, when the image has less noise can be more precise.
