From what software and how can I export into a scatter node?

I mean that open file dialog in the scatter node. Could somebody list a possible solutions please.

This is a list of transforms that describe location, rotation and scale for each scattered instance.
What 3d modeling application do you use?
The 3d modeling application needs a script to output these for loading into octane.
So you need something like this (for blender): http://render.otoy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=22656
to export the instance transformations.

The technical details are on page 127 of the 1.10 manual.

The Poser plugin contains a system where you can create random instances onto scene geometry (so it generates the transform file for you). Details at http://vimeo.com/54438243.

I've done it from rhino 5 by exporting a text file from grasshopper.
