...sold to Pixologic!
how sad is this?
EDIT: it seems they also hired Tomas Pettersson, so congrats to this young and smart guy for his brand new job! unfortunately I'm afraid this mean we won't have a free or cheap (work has to payed!) Sculptris, no more. let's hope in the new sculpting tools in Blender 2.53beta...

right now it is... they called the 1.02 release as "alpha 5". but I don't think it will be free anymore as stand alone application once it reaches v1.0 final. the problem is not being free or not imho, I'm willing to pay a reasonable price for it... I really hope it doesn't become another great ZB add-on like Decimation Master or UVmaster since not anybody need all the power of ZB (which
has a reasonable price if you're doing those kind of stuff, BTW)

If it will ask for money then i will be hugely disappointed plus it is unfair.
The company already makes millions from there products.
And I know some friends who are avid Zbrush users and some do prefer and regret getting Zbrush because of the simplicity and power that Sculptris brings.
Well at least thomas can show them how to make a real interface.

Wow, really impressive tool. Raul is a Genius !
I hope that an efficient decimator is included, because the number of polygons increases hugely at each new subdivision level !

I'm quite satisfied of the built-in decimate modifier, don't you? not that I make an extensive use though...
