**MAX2Octane exporter for max 2008-2009**

- Translates camera roll to Octane
- Added a button "New" under project config




NOTE: Users of max 2008 must download the guruware obj exporter here: http://www.guruware.at/main/



When reporting bugs, try to explain the steps in detail + MAXversion and version of the script



INSTALL:
Extract in max root folder, restart max.
Find the script in customize, under category max2octane.

I managed to get the script installed and after I click on the button to run it in Max, the dialog insists that I select an existing project when I hit render. I can click "New" and type in a new project name but I still get the warning. I tried to work around this by copying and renaming one of the demo projects, but then it couldn't find the obj export files so I browsed to the demo files and let it attempt to import these. I got an error in Octane and then Max froze up.

How do I resolve this issue?

On a side note, I tried downloading the Guruware OBJ exporter but the guruware download server is timing out. I found the 0.94b version zip on another site and downloaded it but when I copied it into my Max folder, I discovered that I already had the file there and that my file date is newer so I didn't overwrite it.

Okay, I notice that I if I click the Render button to export a still then the model comes into Octane. I was clicking Render Animation --perhaps this wasn't working because there are no animation keys in my Max file. I'll have to test that.

Running Max 2009
