instancing BUG!

Hi guys,

I pushed Octane for Max to the limits

With these print-screens I want to show you that exaggerating with instances Octane loses texture references

In these scene I have:

500 objects manually instanced
759 trees scattered with Forest Pack Pro then instanced (4 multi sub mats, all mats are mixed maps)
28.808 grass carpets scattered with Forest Pack Pro then instanced (6 multi sub mats, all maps are mixed maps)

You can notice that using about 1300 instances every texture is ok, if I turn on the grass carpets we will get strange effects.

Regards

THe last texture seems to be some kind of distribution map from forest pro and maybe the color variation mat which has been loaded too but is not in use.
I never had a negative polycount experience.

Forest Pack pro texture variations don't work with Octane, only in vray and mr.
All Instanced grass objects have the same texture.
As you can see the textures building are affected by the increased number of instances.
Now I reduced the instances from 28000 to 10000 and now is ok.
It's an Octane bug.

I did a test with 40.000 objects. Did not have such issue. Can I have your scene? [email protected]. But I don't have Forest Pack.

YOu dont need forest pack or just can use the free version.

After distribution with forestpack all objects are instanced and just models like if placed with hand.
