Hi everybody, i start working with textures with Octane plugin for max.

I have a problem with the texture car paint Cherry red, i have made a little sceen for explaining my confusion.

My red surface is always pink!!!!!! i have made an OctaneDayLight, and then put my texture....
That's working with grey Dark material....

I finish up - side - down with that "bug", is it due to the reflexion of my sky?

You can see it in a video pasting the link below:

Thanks for your help

Best regards and sorry again for my poor english...

set the response to linear and adjust the gamma to 1.8 or 2.2

response=tonemapping

colors are mapped differently to imitate the films response.

unfortunately Octane doesn't have Reinhard color mapping method.

Thanks, you are right, it' s better.

But we are far away from the "car paint" of mental ray....

In my material editor, the material car paint Cherry red is also pink as you can see on my video.... :?: :|

I have make a screen capture to explain the difference between octane and mental ray, and so the result i would like to have.

On the left, Ocatne render and on the right mental ray... Not really flashy red paint for octane.... :?

Thank's for your help.

I have transfer the licence to my home computer for the week end.
I have very better result and i don't know why. Maybe due to 3dsmax parameter. I will transfer the file to my office next week to see that.

I hope my experience report can help somebody.
But it's still amazing: time rendering and quality.

I don't regret my bought.

See you everybody :D
