Cards again

Nvidia 295 and 470 seems to be close in specs and price, except 295 has more mem. Which should perform better? Should there be big difference with 480?

the GTX470 will be the best.
it has more memory and should be at least as fast and probably faster in the upcoming optimized builds.

More memory? That's why i ask. According to NVidia:
GTX470 is 1280MB and 448 cores
GTX295 1792MB and 480 cores (+higher mem bandwidth/fillrate)
There must be something I don't know though...

in fact the gtx295 has two gpu on one card as you may know , so it has 2x 896mb memory and this doesn't add up as the memory is not shared between gpu's , the data is replicated. (and its true when you have several cards as well).
