Copy and Paste Nodes into Macro?

Just curious, as it does not look like it is possible (at least in the demo), but is it planned to have the option of copying and pasting nodes into a macro? Knowing me, I will start out a project without the intent to make it very complex, only to find myself doing just the opposite. So when I have a zillion nodes on the desktop, it would be great to be able to just move them over to a macro by either copy/paste of drag&drop.

yes you can select several nodes and save them in a macro in the current build, not in the demo I'm afraid.

Won't matter after tomorrow then...I just ordered the beta and will be having a blast!

It's possible to save multiple nodes in an .ocm file, but it's not possible to move them (drag&drop) in or out of a macro node container. It's not even possible to copy-paste (duplicate) a node.
So basically as is now, it's not possible to tidy up a node mess (and there will be a mess, believe me

 ). So plan in advance.

Actually, you can. Was playing around just now and made it happen this way: Just save the nodes you want to save as a macro, then add a new macro node, double-click on it to open it up. It will be empty except for the default "Out" node. Then, right-click "Import Macro", to put the contents of the saved macro inside the new macro. Then, just hook up those imported contents to the "Out" macro node, and its ready. Now you can save THAT as a new macro.

@treddie, you are right. Still, too much hassle for such basic functionality that should be available from the start...

Yah...a bit convoluted. Hopefully copy/paste and drag/drop will make their way into v1. Also, copying one nodes values to another of the same type.

Any update on if this is on the roadmap, or in the product, not yet the demo?

EDIT: Asked and answered in another post. Sorry for the dup, I was not sure what needed to be "authorized" and what did not.
