Question about improvement to plugin

I had read earlier that the way the max plugin and the renderer communicate (especially for animations) will be improved in the later versions of the plugin: that the mesh will have to be exported only once rather than which each frame. That will dramatically increase the render times for animations as currently about half the time is spent exporting the model.

My question is: what about animated elements within the 3d model: say a moving person or anything for which the mesh changes from frame to frame. How will those objects be handled? Or will this method of export be only applicable to static models?

this was already improved - but for camera animations only (new user selectable option). if the geometry had changed, octane must voxelize it. an improvement in this area should come with the instancing (whenever this will be ;)) as then afaik only single objects need to be voxelized, if they change; currently the whole mesh needs to...

oh wow....I totally missed that update. Oh happy days!

From what I understand instancing is coming in version 2.60 of Octane in the next weeks? Can't wait!

Thanks
