here's my first couple renderings. the overview took about 20 mins to render because i had samples set to 6000. but i noticed that it looked good enough at around 800 samples which would have been way less time. if i used mental ray i would still be moving lights around and render testing.

so i learned about the sample slider.

i cant wait for a way to export a animated camera from Maya !

Nice XD.
You should do a quick animation though it that would be awesome.

thanks !

i dont understand how to import an animation. im using maya and have made .bat files before but how would you put a camera into a .obj file ?
and then
if you have a 1minute animation(1800 frames) does that mean you end up saving out 1800 .obj files ?

it sounds like maybe a maya scrypt/plugin may come out soon - i hope.

Hi Nick,

Apparently some talented Maya/ Octane users are cooking something in their kitchen:

you can also use this technique: http://www.refractivesoftware.com/forum ... f=21&t=878
to get smooth antialiasing...
