bathroom blues

While reading a novel I had the idea to model the scene that it was describing. This is just the "setup" or background for the scene, but since it's a free project that I'm working on my spare time, I want to show some wips and get some feedback.
It's all been modeled in blender from scratch. I wanted also to build up my archviz skills on blender, since I'm planning on moving over. I have to admit that Blender has done for my modeling what Octane has done for my rendering, I'm in love with it again. Such fun modeling away. So I got a few reference pictures of each part I wanted to model, always with a clear focus of what I had in mind and what I wanted to tell. The mood had to be cold and gritty, and even a little lonesome.
The textures have been either hand painted in blender (dirt and such) or from cgtextures. I have an hdri as exterior light and a light bulb with an IES file for some shots. All rendered in PMC besides the "square" one that was done in PT, about 1 to 2hr each in a single GTX 570 and the PT one for 5hrs, color corrected, logo added and no other retouching.
Hope you like it and I would appreciate any ideas for extra detail.
Won't show for now the novel excerpt describing the idea, 'cause I rather "surprise" you later with the whole scene. But that might take some time ;)

nice ones! the mood of the last one (of course not the plain one ;)) is really good. also how the light plays on the different surfaces looks very interesting. my only concern would be the water splash geometry - real water won't have such a geometry, because of it's surface tension; so even if the water material is quite nice, the splash looks like quicksilver from most angles...

thanks t_3, and I totally agree, the splash is out of place, I have to work in something better geometry-wise.

:o wow great mood, especially the #7... maybe some little cracks in the tiles? ...do you have dispersion in the water?

ah, and what i just noticed: the room/the scene/the mood definitely works better in a taller-than-wide format;
the one you have chosen in #7 is just perfect...

@bepeg4d, yeap tiles need some dirt job on them, and some little cracks, the thing is that I had some problems with bevel modifier and uvmaps, when I finally found the solution, I was quite tired of playing with tiles and uvmaps, so I didn't put much work on them, it's in my to-do list, but since I have more fun modeling, that'll have to wait ;P.
@t_3, I'll stick to it then, I like it better too, althou for the finals, with everything on, 16:9 might fit better... we'll see

already keen to see what it will be - but at least you left me thinking about aspect ratios and moods now

I see Blender got you, MWAHAHAHA!!

Your personal scenes usually have a kind of spirit or feel to it in them, that few other work I have seen here have. Very nice!

The water with dispersion looks a bit strange and the window frame is wobbly for some reason :)

Keep goin'

@t_3 glad to help bringing an obsesion out, lol
@bepeg4d, thanks, I'm on it, but it might take some time ;P
@matej, yeap I'm hooked! not only modeling is easy, fun and fast, a 3D software that opens miliseconds after you click on it makes easy just opening it for a few minutes work. I have to check proper values for water disperssion (a wikipedia walk I guess) and the window frame is that way for a reason.... I overdid the imperfections, lol.....
Thank you guys for your kind words and your time.
