Question: Best way to model the eye for Octane Render

Hi,
I was wondering if someone would share the efficient approach to model the eyes while
achieve the best result, specifically for rendering in Octane Render.
Crurently, as the picture illustrates, is the way I model the eyes, and I have to use Path Tracing
for seeing the correct result for eye's transparency...and the eye part usually takes a while to
clear up and it doesn't catch enough light either.
So I wonder, what's other people's approach in terms of preparing the eyes.
I would appreciate if someone could also show their eye model appropriate for Direct Lighting as well.
Thanks.
