Hello Hello.
First of all I want to say "Hello!". I'm glad to be here.
This is my first post here on the forum after I purchased Octane Render.
So I just want to show you my first Tests. I hope I will get some time to update the post regularly.
Enjoy...

welcome! glad to have you with us

your first "test" already looks fantastic!

imo it is not easy to acquire such a realistic look with a "simple" setup like that; has an absolute photographic look to it (colors, lighting, framing, dof) - did you do postwork on this?
ps: i even don't mind the noise - well a little

it could be less, but personally i won't burn them to be completely noise-free; imo adds some realism to it...

Thank you, thank you
Hmmm, yes its really noisy. I've just render each image for about 30 mins.
Once i've finished this project I will render it a bit longer

I think I have to buy a really good GPU.
At the moment I'm not really familiar with Octane. So I hope I can push the Quality a bit in the final renderings.
And, yes. I did postwork on this. Just a little colour-correction.

Wow, looks highly photorealistic

A pity the background doesn't quite match the color temperature :/ It also looks like light is coming from another direction on the mountains.

Hey Sportler. Thank you for the feedback.
Yeah I know. I haven't found a good snowy Mountain-Hdri. I'm still searching

... and its far away from finish.
I hope I will find a solution for nice shadows on Hdri lighting. It's a bit tricky in Octane, hu?
In the next days I'll play a bit around to ger familiar with Octane.

Thank you!
I used path tracing. Does it look like direct lighting?
Rendertimes were 1 hour per render on a GTX 560.
(Yes, I will buy a faster one soon

)
And I used a daylight and some mesh emitters on the standing light and on the ceiling light.
